In 1992 I had the opportunity to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his wife Leah. After this picture was taken he gave me a hug. What an honor! At that time, Apartheid was just coming to an end in South Africa. I wish I could tell my 21 year old self to ask him a few questions and remember his responses word for word! I am certain heaven is celebrating that joyful, compassionate, loving soul. RIP.

This corner of my bedroom had been neglected for 10 years. On that day in March 2020 when the five of us suddenly had to work/school from home, everyone claimed their space. My space was wherever someone else was not, which meant I was a floater - sometimes the kitchen, sometimes the dining room, sometimes the couch - and that was fine with me for a while, until I realized “a while” was going to be a long while. Here we are one year later and not much has changed as far as working/schooling from home, except that I finally found my space. This previously neglected corner of my bedroom is now my favorite place to be!
