Our stories are shaped not only by the obvious – where we were born and how we were raised – but also by the choices our grandparents made, and by the million little choices we make every day.
Teacher, writer, and family business owner, my roots are firmly planted in the Pacific Northwest. I live in Mercer Island, Washington with my husband and three teenage boys. While I have traveled to many countries all over the world, I have chosen to return to the cozy island I was raised, to raise my own kids. Now everyday I try to step outside my comfort zone and at least think beyond our borders.
As I have now arrived at middle age, I look back on where I’ve been, and ahead at where I want to go both literally and figuratively. My passions of family, travel, education, faith, and a constant desire to learn have brought me to this blog. It is a way to bring together all that is important to me. And while I write, share my stories, and learn how to keep up with technology, I hope The Watson Chronicles will somehow encourage others to understand their own stories.
